Wedgemount Lake features a small hut that can sleep 6 people on a first come, first serve basis as well as several spaces for tents near the hut or further down towards the inlet by Armchair Glacier. With the limited space in the hut, it usually fills up quickly so don't expect space to be available. There is a pit toilet near the hut and no other facilities at Wedgemount Lake.

Camping is only available during the summer as Wedgemount Lake cannot be accessed during the winter months. A reservation must be made to camp at Wedmount Lake or stay in the shelter. Failure to produce proof of a reservation will result in eviction and a fine.

The hike itself to Wedgemount Lake is gruely and very difficult, so only experienced hikers should attempt this with a backpack full of camping supplies. The destination is popular amongst ice climbers who are able to spend some time climbing the glaciers around the lake.
