The Dirty Duo
This is a unique event that combines mountain biking and trail running. Choose to only run, only bike, do a relay, or do both! There are many categories of this race, so you can choose the one that suits you best, whether a beginner or an extreme athlete.
5 Peak Alice Lake Race
This 5 Peaks race features a Sports course (8.5K) and an Enduro course (13K), as well as a Children's Challenge (1K) and a timed Kids race (3K). This race starts out on the Four Lakes Trail, where you will pass by Stump, Fawn, Edith lakes, and finish on Alice Lake. The trail starts easy but features a steep ascent in the 2nd half of the run, as well as one of the premiere descent in Squamish, Credit Line. The race finishes on the beaches of Alice Lake, overlooking the highest peak of Garibaldi Park. This is a cup free event so please bring your own reusable containers.

The Annual Diez Vista Run is a 50K or 100K trail run that features West Coast rainforest trails and gravel service roads, with over 6000 ft elevation change. This race features a $500 course record bonus, so get your running shoes ready if you think you can beat it!

The Big Easter Run
This is the 5th annual Big Easter Run, a community fun run with a 1-3K Kids run with egg hunt at 1pm and a 5&10K route at 2pm. The route goes along the trails and alongside the beach and is suitable for all ages and abilities and is pet and stroller friendly. Sign up online.

Vancouver Sun Run
Canada's largest 10K road race, the Vancouver Sun Run begins in Vancouver's downtown core and runs through Stanley Park, then goes past English Bay onto the city streets, over the Cambie Bridge, and back towards BC Place. Because of the large number of participants, there are wave starts for the race. Awards are given to the top three males and females in each category. Registration deadlines vary by category.

BMO Vancouver Marathon Health, Sports & Lifestyle Expo
The expo, running during the Vancouver Marathon weekend, will be the hub for runners where they can pick up their marathon gear such as bibs, timings chips, etc before the race. Exhibitors will also be showcasing products and services, and admission is free to the public.

5 Peaks Golden Ears Race
The 2nd race of the year in the 5 Peaks Running Series, The Sports course is 8.5K while the Enduro course is 13K. There are also Childrens Challenge (1K) and Kids (3K) races. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each category as well as top 3 male and female finishers overall. This is a cup free event so please bring your reusable containers.

BMO Vancouver Marathon
The BMO Vancouver Marathon is one of the top destination marathons in the world, and runs through Vancouver's downtown and past some of the city's most iconic landmarks. Join the full marathon, half marathon, 8K run, or enter your kids in the 1mile kids fun run. The marathon raises funds for RUN4HOPE, the marathon's official charity program, and go towards social impact and community good, and benefiting various national and community charities.

Survival of the Fittest
Choose from a 18 or 35K race, as well as a kids race for the young ones. The course will be a loop in the Quest University Lands, and features fantastic views of the valley and mountains.

Starting in Cleveland Park, this race finishes on the beautiful shores of Deep Cove. The race includes some great trails leading up to the challenging Powerline Climb.

Envision Financial Run for Water
This marathon is Boston-Qualifying and features one of the flattest and fastest courses in BC. Runners also have the option to register for the half marathon, 10k, or 5k fun run. All funds raised go towards helping build clean water projects in some of hte most remote and desolate areas of southern Ethiopia.

The Run for Women lets you choose between a 10k, 5k and 1k little girls run. Brought to you by Shoppers Drug Mart's LOVE YOU program, funds raised go towards BC Women's hospital's perinatal substance abuse programs.

Run Up for Down Syndrome
This is the 22nd year for this event, where you can run or walk the 5k or 1.5k routes. The race races funds and awareness on behalf of individuals with Down Syndrome, while promoting a healthy lifestyle and featuring a variety of children's activities, prizes, and food for people of all ages and disabilities. Hosted by the Down Syndrome Research Foundation. Register online.

Whistler Half Marathon
Described as 'Canada's most scenic half marathon', this course winds around Whistler Valley and goes along a number of neighbourhoods and parks along the way. Participants can sign up for the 21.1K marathon 10K, 5K or the 1K kids run. Proceeds go to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.

RBC Race for the Kids
At RBC Race for the Kids, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities will participate in either a scenic 5k route or a 2k fun run, followed by a carnival celebration with healthy snacks and activities for the whole family.

Coquitlam Crunch Challenge
The Coquitlam Crunch Challenge is a community event to support the Coquitlam Community Diversity Fund and KidSport. The event is open to families and people of all ages. The Challenge starts at the base of the Coquitlam Crunch at the Scott Creek Community Gardens, with the full loop (up and down) of the Crunch trail being approximately 4.4km, taking the average person (walking) anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours.
The Coquitlam Crunch Diversity Challenge offers something for everyone, whether you are a hardcore athlete or you just want to get out in nature and exercise alone or with your family or friends. All ages and abilities are welcome.
There are 3 events: a 4-hour endurance race (Make it or Break It), an 8km race, and a recreational category.

Vancouver Half-Marathon and 5K
The 5K run/walk starts at the Stanley Park Fish House, while the Half-Marathon starts at the Thunderbird Stadium and a shuttle bus will bring participants back to UBC free of charge. Participants can collect pledges for one of the 70+ charitable partners for this Canada Running Series event.

The Summerfast 10K is a flat, scenic course through Stanley Park and along the Seawall, and features a post race brunch with fruit, baked goods, coffee and beverages for participants after the race. Medals for the top 3 in each age category.

Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run
The knee knacker is aptly named, as the course is 48km (30 miles) and has an elevation gain of 4,877 metres (16,000 feet). Definitely not one for the faint of heart. Donations will be collected by runners and teams to the North Shore Search and Rescue.

The 4th race of the year for the 5 Peaks running series includes a 6.5k sports course, 11k enduro course, 3k timed kids' race, and 1k children's challenge. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age category at all distances, as well as top 3 male and female finishers overall.

Buckin' Hell
Distances for this race include a 15K short course, 50K ultra course and a 2 person relay race. The course is a very challenging and technical one and is geared towards strong mountain runners.

Fat Dog 120 Trail Race
Fat Dog is an ultra race that has been listed as one of the top 9 toughest ultras by Outside Online. There are 3 different start points and routes, with the toughest (the 48 hour 120 mile) having an elevation gain just under that of Everest. Definitely not for beginners, the routes feature stunning views through 3 provincial parks.

5 Peaks Whistler Blackcomb Race
The 5 Peaks running series is famous for great climbs and fast descents, and Blackcomb mountain is a great venue for this type of race. Choose from the 6.5k Sport course or the 10.6k Enduro course both of which travel by Blackcomb Lake. There is also a 1k Children's challenge and a 3k timed kids race. Please note that you will need a gondola pass.

Vancouver East Side 10K
The Under Armour Eastside 10k starts and finishes on Cordova street beside Woodward's. Because there is a 1h45m time limit on road closures from the City of Vancouver, participants are asked to keep this in mind before registering for the race.
