The Great Hikes of Vancouver eBook Review

Local outdoor enthusiast, Karl Woll, has written and published an eBook called The Great Hikes of Vancouver. What promises to be the first eBook in a series, the book contains detailed descriptions, directions, and information, such as distance, time, and elevation on 10 hikes in southwestern British Columbia.

The trails include:

  1. Joffre Lakes
  2. Garibaldi Lake
  3. Panorama Ridge
  4. The Stawamus Chief
  5. Howe Sound Crest Trail
  6. Crown Mountain
  7. Norvan Falls
  8. Coliseum Mountain
  9. Mount Seymour
  10. Sendero Diez Vistas

The Great Hikes of VancouverThe nice thing about an eBook is that you can take it with you on your mobile device and not have to worry about not having an Internet connection when you’re on your hike. Plus, it saves having to carry a heavier, physical book in your backpack.

The eBook also includes information about the area and what to expect, including tips on safety and what to bring. A table at the back of the book makes it easy to compare the 10 hikes to see which one is best for your skill level.

The Great Hikes of Vancouver eBook is available on Amazon and can be viewed on most devices with the free Kindle App. An .epub version can also be purchased from Smashwords and will soon be available on other stores, such as Kobo and Sony. The book is only $2.99, a steal for the amount of information in it. It also includes future revisions as the eBook will periodically be updated.
